Hello to Everybody
I drew up a thematic text on the sector of Energy of my country for presentation in our English class.
Please can you have a look at it in order to correct it and propose some improvements.

Energy sector of .....
Energy exists in various forms and can be classified according to its origin in electromagnetic, thermal, nuclear, solar, hydraulic, chemical or aeolian (wind) energy categories.
Only a few of these forms of energy are used in .... in order to meet the energy needs of the country.
The sector of energy is characterized by a poor use of modern energies such as electricity and the large use of traditional ones such as wood and charcoal. Renewable energies such as solar and win ones are almost absent.
In fact, biomass (wood, charcoal, residues from agriculture) represents 80 percent of the global consumption of energy in the country while hydrocarbon (petrol, diesel) is 16 percent and electricity is 4 percent.
In Mali energy is used to meet the development needs in various areas : industrial, domestic, tertiary, etc. areas.
The big question is how to balance supply and demand safely and in lasting way. This task falls to the ministry and its departments in charge of the energy matters with all the other stakeholders, public as well as private.
On top of all, the ministry establishes the energy policy of the country which gives guidance and the priorities in the sector. Strategies and action plans are also elaborated. The development objectives of the sector are set over a long term period. Then, actions and energy projects and programs are carried out, mostly under a public-private partnership in order to reach these objectives. This is called the energy planning which takes into account many factors such as the overall needs of energy of the country, the growth rate of population, the current and future big projects and programs of development of the country.
However, in Mali, there is still an unbalance between the urban and rural areas regarding the rate of electrification and the supply of energy in general.
Nearly 90 percent of the population live in rural area where the rate of electrification is approximately between 3.25 and 7 percent, whereas this rate is 55 percent in urban area for a national average of 19 percent.
A particular focus has been put on rural electrification recently to reverse this trend and reduce the stress on the deforestation, which contributes to the sustainable and harmonious development of the country.
