Today, scientific,environmental group, policy or people like you and me have got their eye on the North Pole and in particular the melting of. One may wonder why all of us are interested in what happens in these cold waters, that is the same reason we have to concern ourselves about it?
First, Greenpeace, an organization recognized for its many battles to save the planet is one of the first to be denounced the consequences of our destructive behavior : They are significant and serious. In their campaign, a experienced sailor ( 40 years on the seas ) explains that the sailing is now easier due to widespread melting. in other words , At his scale, the effects are already visible.
Moreover , it is said that distinctive Arctic species such as the polar bear, walrus and ice seals depend on the sea ice; they cannot survive without it.
Secondly , scientific measures have shown that extension ice at the poles decreased over the years(-6.6%per decade ), while the global temperature increased(5 to 8 degree above the average) . all scientists do not agree to establish a direct link between the two data, now the debate is fierce: for some the link is clear, the only solution to stop the total melting of the ice (planned for 2030 under them) is to immediately change our behavior ofpolluter, for others these changes are only valid in the short term and are not long-term
last but not least , global warming has a political dimension. For example, Mrs. Clinton has recently created a scandal when she was much reporting about the dangers of global warming, it has also brought these projects to Greenland in his eyes, which constitutes a large reserve of gas and oil , his speech is appeared in total contradiction.
Finally, beyond the political debate about global warming that some completely reject the very idea of such a phenomenon: there is a lot of conspiracy theorists who explain that the global warming has been fabricated . and they expose many reasons to support their point.
