Intervention Plan
Understanding of the situation
John and his mother don’t get along. His mother thinks that she is to invasive and doesn’t leave her son room to develop his autonomy. John thinks that his mother is too controlling and acts like she doesn’t trust him. He thinks that it contribute to the fact that they don’t have a great relationship.
Goal ( what to achieve)
John: I will try to improve my relationship with my mother: I will take some time to ask my mother how she is doing every day. When I’m frustrated, I will express my feelings in an appropriate way.
Mother: I will help John develop his autonomy: I will not invade his privacy. I will wait for the right time to address my issue. I will congratulate my son every day.
